• Posted October 3, 2013

Hi Friends!

I have already installed in my centos droplet, lamp and virtual host, but now I want to configure my server with my own private DNS.

“is possible to do this with a single server?”

Yes, but why would you want to do that? Especially when DigitalOcean allows you to use 3 of its servers, for free!

When (not “if”) your “single DNS server” goes down, you’ll be totally screwed.

Yes, you can install it on a single server however it’s not recommended to do that for stability/redundancy reasons.
