Hi everyone.
I set up a VPN on a Droplet but I’m not getting the speeds I’d like to get with it. I have 400mb download speed from my ISP and I’m getting roughly ~10mb.
I tried to set up PPTP but I got even slower speeds.
I don’t care about privacy, encryption or stuff like that. My intention is just to bypass geo-restrictions on services like Netflix, Hulu, YoutubeTV, etc, so speed is my first goal.
Do I have an option here?
I moved from ExpressVPN to DigitalOcean to create my own VPN and get similar or better speeds, but I haven’t accomplished that.

I will try that. However, I was looking for a DIY path, to have more control over it. Also, services like Netflix actively blocks VPNs, I have less chances to be blocked with my own VPN.
If youre just trying to stream and bypass geo restrictions then get the PureVPN trial. The service works and is cheap. The app comes with a browser extension which is a proxy i believe so that gives you great speeds
