Posted on July 11, 2020

I need to setup CNAME like this

Name Type Value
md5_hash._domainkey.cherevan.art CNAME md5_hash.dkim.amazonses.com
md5_hash._domainkey.cherevan.art CNAME md5_hash.dkim.amazonses.com
md5_hash._domainkey.cherevan.art CNAME md5_hash.dkim.amazonses.com

But when try to create CNAME record like this I’ve got an error from DO:

CNAME records cannot share a name with other records.

Did you have any tutorial about that? I’ve not found.

You need to replace “md5hash” & “md5_hash” with the actual hash values provided to you by Amazon. You should have 3 different hash values, one for each CNAME record. You can’t create multiple CNAME records with the same hostname.
