Our site went down and we did not know until a user contacted us. How can we setup SMS notifications similar to what AWS has? It will send an SMS message if the site is down for more than 5 min. Thank you

There are a couple of simple ways I can think of, that can help you with this one:
Basically how it would work is to create a cron job to check the website’s HTTP status code every once and a while. If it is different than 200(OK) -> you get notified by a push notification / message.

Thank you for your response, yes it is helpful and we will look into it. But I’m still not able to receive SMS notifications. How come DigitalOcean does not provide a reliable SMS notification service as a part of their package. They can charge for it if they want to.
