How do I upgrade sqlite3 from v.3.6.20 to the latest version (minimum v.3.7.4 with module fts4) on Centos 6?

Using CentOS, you will often be on a stable previous version of software, as it is an Enterprise distribution. However, Redhat backports security fixes from the current code to their versions, so as long as you keep yum updated, you will benefit from this. It is recommended that you do not update components of CentOS out of sync with CentOS itself.
