I am using Ruby on Rails on App Platform.

I was wondering how it is possible to use my own logging system such as Datadog on App Plafform. Is there a way to send the logs to the datadog API ? Or si there something as the http drain : http://https://devcenter.heroku.com/articles/log-drains#https-drains

on Heroku ?

Thanks!

Hi there,

I’ve seen a similar question here, where a DigitalOcean team member mentioned that the App Plaatform doesn’t currently have a direct integration with streaming logs to external services built into the platform, but this is something that is being considered for the future.

There is also another suggestion for a community member saying that they’ve decided to use supervisord and store the logs into a file, then transported those log files to a remote syslog server via https://github.com/papertrail/remote_syslog2 in run_command before launching Docker Entrypoint.
