Apache Control Panels

I read in internet that Sentora control panel, it’s not safe. And as I’ve been having problems with this Sentora, including the latest is unable to sign because I give face to face with a white screen, I want uninstall Sentora…

My questions are:

  1. If I uninstall Sentora, I lose the settings of my sites? files? something? Or everything is normal functioning?

  2. How do I uninstall Sentora?

  3. What is the best free control panel alternative for me to install?

(Sorry my bad english, I’m from Brazil)

You can probably never completely “uninstall” sentora. In the linux serverworld most of the time you can not uninstall something that easily as on windows. Its a whole different environment. What you could use to remove its files and dependencies with a simple script like this:

apt-get -y purge mysql-server mysql-server apache2 libapache2-mod-php5 libapache2-mod-bw php5-common php5-suhosin php5-cli php5-mysql php5-gd php5-mcrypt php5-curl php-pear php5-imap php5-xmlrpc php5-xsl db4.7-util zip webalizer build-essential bash-completion dovecot-mysql dovecot-imapd dovecot-pop3d dovecot-common dovecot-managesieved dovecot-lmtpd postfix postfix-mysql libsasl2-modules-sql libsasl2-modules proftpd-mod-mysql bind9 bind9utils
apt-get -y --purge autoremove
rm -rf /etc/zpanel
rm -rf /var/zpanel
rm -f /root/passwords.txt

But I don’t recommend this. This will remove all your services including the website files. I suggest you backup all the site files, create a new droplet, setup that new droplet properly so it can go live and then upload the websites there.

I don’t think that you can save your data if you uninstall Sentora. I will recommend you to backup all your importand data and reinstall your server with a fresh OS.
Then upload your data and configure it accordingly.
I recently installed Ajenti control panel on my server and so far I am pretty satisfied. So try Ajenti, you may like it.

Then the best way to do is create a new machine begining from “0” zero?

Can I create a new droplet and install new webserver and upload my site files while the actual droplet stay active?
When the new droplet go all set ok, I use the new droplet? I think a way to do it because I don’t want my sites get out/down while
I install new webserver.

Can you say me a good tip or step by step to do it?

If I create a new droplet with webserver should I upgrade or pay new fees?
I ask it because I will have 2 droplets while I setting my new system, then finally I delele the old droplet with sentora.
