Hi Everyone.
Am using a VPS (Ubuntu 14.04 x64) with Apache2 installed. I am hosting one website.
I made a .htaccess file in my /var/www/html/ I made it for the 404 error. Here is the code
Custom 404 error
ErrorDocument 404 /404.html
Prevent directory listings
Options All -Indexes
For some wired reason the htaccess is not working? I go to the website I put in a mistake and I get this
Not Found
The requested URL /1 was not found on this server.
How can I fix this?

Is the file 404.html available in the same directory as the .htaccess file? If not, it should contain the relative path. For instance, if it is found at /var/www/html/error_pages/404.html the line should read:
ErrorDocument 404 /error_pages/404.html
