I am not able to set up wordpress multisite in a subdirectory + nginx.

I tried every tutorial but nothing seem to work, the tutorials are outdated and work just work partially.

This guide will walk you through setting up WP multi-site with Nginx.

While it is for Ubuntu 14.04 it should work for you with 16.04 as well since it depends on the packages that are included in the official repositories for both versions of Ubuntu.
