Hello, I can’t change my root password, Putty always disconect after put my new pass, i need your help.

Pedí un nuevo password para el root, el me llegó por correo, pero cuando lo voy a cambiar por consola, PUTTY, se cae despues de insertar los nuevos passwords.
Que puede ser?
estoy en un lio, necesito entrar a mi droplet.
Esto tambien me sucede desde “launch console” de digital ocean

Hello friend!
The most common reason for this is a misunderstanding of what is being asked. This flow of actions will cause the described event:
Step 1: Login with user/pass.
Step 2: Linux states that you need to change the password, prompts for current password. You type the new password that you want. Linux disconnects.
The reason this misunderstanding occurs is because it looks like it might be asking for the new password, when it is in fact asking you to repeat the current password that you just used to log in.
