I tried adding the ip adress as covered here, but I can't seem to access it over http, or ping it (ssh login works fine). How do I connect to my droplet. Sorry I'm a newb at this

What have you installed on the droplet? Is there a webserver running? Did you set up a firewall? Without more information, it is hard to give you a detailed answer. To get started with a basic webserver setup on Fedora, this article should point you in the right direction:

LAMP stack is a group of open source software used to get web servers up and running. The acronym stands for Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP. Since the server is already running Fedora, the linux part is taken care of. Here is how to install the rest on Fedora.

I had a similar problem and it was caused by firewalld which was enabled and started by default in Fedora. It was allowing SSH but blocking everything else.

I have a similar problem. I created a droplet and I can't access it via VNC Console. The screenshot of the problem is posted here. : http://imgur.com/7nxWMgf
Does anyone know why it is happening. The support team doesn't seem to help much
