Hi there @rmackean,

On Ubuntu 18.04 you can find your IP address by running one of the following commands:

  • ifconfig

The output that you would get would look like this:

eth0: flags=4163<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
        inet 123.256.223.34 netmask 255.255.240.0 broadcast 123.256.223.255
        inet6 fe80::e825:60ff:fe32:ead8  prefixlen 64  scopeid 0x20<link>
        ether ea:25:60:32:ea:d8 txqueuelen 1000 (Ethernet)
        RX packets 574813481 bytes 200095314509 (200.0 GB)
        RX errors 0 dropped 0 overruns 0 frame 0
        TX packets 508305713 bytes 1510973798438 (1.5 TB)
        TX errors 0 dropped 0 overruns 0 carrier 0 collisions 0

Or:

  • ip addr

Hope that this helps!

Bobby

Hello,

The simplest way to find your IP address of the Droplet, get on the Cloud Panel and hover to the Droplets Page and select the desired Droplet and you should see the tag: ipv4 (this should provide you the Static IP address that is assigned automatically)

Let me know, if that is what you are looking for!

Cheers,
Sri Charan
