I have A record pointing to my machine but I can only see the domain and not the www.domain

Posted on June 19, 2016

I am running wordpress on an Ubuntu machine and I have had the domain registrar point the domain’s A record to my machine (zahavi-ltd.com), however I cannot access the site through www.zahavi-ltd.com. At first the www would point back to the old site but after fiddling around with my 000-default.conf file and creating another A record with the domain registrar that points www.zahavi-ltd.com to my ip I get nothing and when I try to ping the www it cannot find the host. Obviously I am doing something wrong Please help

You’re likely just missing a CNAME record for the www subdomain. Can you post the full .conf file showing your records?
