I have created a new swap space and deleted the previous swap sapace using windows partion and Ubuntu GParted help. Now when I enable it i.e. swapon using Gparted, now able to use it i.e no processing is shown in system monitor as with previous swap space. How I can use it as previous swap space

I would recommend running the swapon command directly from the command line as it may be outputting errors that you are not seeing through gParted.
sudo swapon [path to mountpoint]
