I need to set up SSL Centos/Apache 2.4.6

Posted January 17, 2019 3.2k views

I have contacted the SSL vendors many times, they are unable to help. I have valid privateid certificateid and ca-bundle files in /etc/ssl, how do I install these into my Centos droplet Apache 2.4.6? An additional problem is that my certificate domain needs to go to my /var/www/html/broker directory which might involve a virtual host. Can you help me get my SSL certificate properly set up? I have all files in /etc/ssl currently.

This tutorial explains how to create a self-signed SSL certificate, how to add it to your server, and how to configure the SSL file to display the certificate to the world. A SSL certificate is a way to encrypt a site's information and create a more secure connection. Certificate Authorities can issue SSL certificates that verify the server's details while a self-signed certificate has no 3rd party corroboration. This tutorial is written for Apache on a Centos server.
