increase innodb_lock_wait_timeout in Cluster DB - MySql


We tried to set innodb_lock_wait_timeout, but can’t. Can you please help us? Thanks

SET GLOBAL innodb_lock_wait_timeout = 1200;
ERROR 1227 (42000): Access denied; you need (at least one of) the SUPER or SYSTEM_VARIABLES_ADMIN privilege(s) for this operation

Hi there,

In order to change the configuration of a managed database cluster you need to use the DigitalOcean API rather than running the statements directly with the doadmin user.

You can refer to the documentation here:

For the innodb_lock_wait_timeout configuration, you can pass an integer value between 1 and 3600.

Your request body will look as follows:

{'config': { 'innodb_lock_wait_timeout': '1200' }}
