Hi, I want to install and run a VPN server (OpenVPN or L2TP) on a future VPS of DigitalOcean. It is posible? I need some ports opened for VPN server.

It’s definitely possible. On DigitalOcean you get full root access and full control over your server. You are free to open what ever ports you need.
