Yes; How To Install and Configure ZPanel on an Ubuntu 12.04 VPS -- although Webmin/Virtualmin is, arguably, recommended by more folks: How To Install and Utilize VirtualMin on a VPS.
Virtualmin is a Webmin module which allows for extensive management of (multiple) virtual private servers. You will be able to manage Apache, Nginx, PHP, DNS, MySQL, PostgreSQL, mailboxes, FTP, SSH, SSL, Subversion/Git repositories and many more.
@Carlos: You're welcome to install Zpanel on a DigitalOcean droplet, but we've found that it can often cause as many problems as it solves. So that tutorial has been removed. If you look around the question section of the site, you'll find quite a few people discussing installing Zpanel though.

Hi, you can install with this command lines:

  1. Download ZPanel: wget
  2. Make downloaded file executable: chmod +x
  3. Run the script: sudo ./ It is this! The rest will be automatically done by ZPanel.
  • is posible for ubuntu 14.10 ?

  • Officially no, but it never hurts to try! Try, might work.

  • Hello,

When I finish installing Zpanel it does not display the password and finish like the one below. Could you help me?

    Setting up proftpd-mod-mysql (1.3.4a-1) ...
    Setting up libapache2-mod-bw (0.92-2) ...
    Enabling module bw.
To activate the new configuration, you need to run:

    Enabling module rewrite.
To activate the new configuration, you need to run:
    service apache2 restart

    • Restarting web server apache2 ... waiting ...done.
    • I got the same error. The solution was to login as "root" and run the .sh file, instead of running it via "sudo".

  • I have exactly the same problem...

  • Even I got into same problem of not displaying login details.

  • Ok, I tried to install few times, I always get stuck but last time I thought to lets wait for an hour or two to see if anything happens then after 10-15 min. of wait and it got completed successfully and displayed the login details.

No arquivo passwords.txt fica salvo as senhas geradas do zpanel é só digitar no diretório root.
nano passwords.txt

I'm having the same problem as well... It installs okay, or at least it appears to but gets stuck and won't provide me the login info... I've waited for ten to fifteen minutes and still nothing :/ any ideas?

Daniel is right you can do the following steps:

  1. Check if passwords.txt exists. root@servername:~# ls
  2. Open passwords.txt and copy all details root@user:# nano passwords.txt
  3. Copy code below Make downloaded file executable: chmod +x Run the script: sudo ./ It is this! The rest will be automatically done by ZPanel.

That's it.... pretty sure you will see Congratulations ZpanelX has now been installed on your, important saved all password details for zpanel.
