I currently have my domain name hosted on Cloudflare. Is it possible to just move the base domain name instead of everything? (“example.com” moves to DigitalOcean, but “sub.example.com” remains on Cloudflare)

i belive thats not possible. you must add core domain placed on cloudflare. however you turn off cloudflare features and use their DNS service only for the base domain.
