Is it possible to install Ghost and Discourse in on droplet?

I’m still trying to wrap my head around how droplets work, as I’m coming from a WHM & cPanel experience. I just started to manage my first Ubuntu VPS for a client so the command line is doable.

Yes it is possible to run multiple different services on the same server.

One important thing that you need to keep in mind is that you can not have multiple services listening on the same port. So if you start Discourse on port 8080 for example you should start Ghost on a different one.

Once you have the two services running on different ports, you can use Nginx as a reverse proxy so that you could map different domain names to each service and have the different applications accessible via ports 80 and 443.
