Is SMTP port disable for new droplet account?

how to enable it? i raised a ticket almost a day ago. support team still have not yet get back to me. Possible to enable it by myself? what should i do? without SMTP port i can not verify my email from discourse initial setup. thanks

Does this thread help? Specifically the section titled “Are your SMTP connections being blocked?”

You could also check to see what ports are listening on your droplet:

$ ss -lntu

The centre column of output is what you’re looking for - port 25 for SMTP.

If you have a firewall like iptables or ufw active, then this could be causing the problem (perhaps).
