Is there a hard limit on droplets or domains?

I work for a web development company and am evaluating if DO would be a good fit for us to migrate to.

Right now I have a 10 droplet limit while testing and I know I can send in a support ticket to raise the limit. Is there a hard limit to how many droplets an account can have? I’d like to be able to setup droplets for each client and centrally manage them from one account as opposed to individual accounts for each client. Likewise, are there any limits/restrictions to domain management per account?

There are no limits on the number of domains you can have. As you have found, there is a droplet limit on each account but this limit can be increased as needed by opening a ticket with support. Usually this limit is increased by doubling it for each request as you scale up. There is no hard limit on the number of droplets you can have and we have users on our platform with limits of 1000 droplets or more.

  • So is it possible to have, for example, 100K droplets on one account?

    • In theory, absolutely. As your infrastructure grows our support team can continue to bump up your limit. With that kind of volume our customer success team would also be able to work one on one with you as you plan your deployment.
