Is there a way for automating:
- creation of new account
- adding payment method
- pre-approving the payment (not charging but authorize payment method and lock some amount of money)
I have 5 clients and I’d like to offer then spinning up new instances just for them (not as a part of my account) + charge them for such service. But after they have finished using the servers you’d have to charge them. Once they destroy the machine, how would you charge their account?

@wheelq Everything what @jtittle writes, but also have a look at teams, since this will create a separate invoice for each teams droplets (where you would just use each client as their own team). That way you have the major control, but each team could access their own droplets through the control panel and even remove/create new droplets - if you wanted to allow that.
The API doesn’t currently provide methods for creating an account, only Droplets on the account that is associated with the API key in question.
If you wanted to deploy Droplets for clients, you’d need to deploy them to your account and work out billing programmatically on your end via your application, or have the clients create accounts and use their API key to create the Droplets.

How does DO protect themselves against customers creating 100 accounts and closing them down after, lets say, 20 days? Account is gone, card is not valid anymore, transfer has been used…
