I’d just like to say at the outset that I know very little about Linux and running a server. I have a CenOS droplet on here running iRedmail and a basic holding web page. I set it up over a day or so following instructions on the Digital ocean forums and, for the most part, it has worked flawlessly for the past year or so.
Last night the iRedmail aspect stopped working. The server is still running, and I can log in to it, but all access to emails has stopped.
Before I spend ages looking at the server configuration, is there an infrastructure reason as to why this may be happening?
Thanks in advance, Lee

Hello @leecook
You can check if all services are running on the droplet. For example postfix might not be running and it will need a restart.
Examining the server logs can also grant some additional information if there are any configuration issues.
First, if you haven’t already, check the system logs to see if there are any errors or warnings related to iRedMail. You can do this by running the following command:
- sudo tail -n 100 /var/log/syslog
Also, check the iRedMail log files which can be located in /var/log/mail.log and /var/log/mail.err
If you still cannot find the issue, you might need to review the iRedMail configuration and make sure all required services are running correctly. A great starting point would be the iRedMail Debug documentation.
Also, you can share more details on what is not working at the moment will help to further troubleshoot the issue. Are there any bounce-back or error messages?
Regards.
