When I type in my domain name, the website shows up correctly, as in www.mydomainname.com
As soon as I click on any link on the wordpress site, however, it immidiately moves to the M.Y.I.P/hello-world, or whatever else I click. Even if I click the header, it brigns me to M.Y.I.P. The permalink section in the settings also shows the format as M.Y.I.P/…
How can I fix this?

I’ve managed to fix this myself. Here is the fix for anyone experiencing the same issue in the future:
1. Login to your wordpress dashboard
2. Left menu select "Settings" --> "General"
3. Change both "WordPress Address (URL)" and "Site Address (URL)" from your IP to your domain name (don't forget to also put http:// in front of your domain, or https:// if you have SSL) and hit "save changes"
4. Goto "Settings" --> "Permalinks" and click on "save changes"
