About the “command-not-found has crashed” I get it as well when I set up a new ubuntu 13.10 x32 512ram image. The solution is here: http://ivaniliev.com/sorry-command-not-found-has-crashed/

root@pablo:/# deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/pharo/stable/ubuntu raring main

That’s not a command. It’s a line you need to insert to a file.
