I followed the initial server setup and then LAMP step by step guide. after I ran the apache service, I was trying to connect it on my chrome by typing server’s ip but i can’t see the initial webpage but the “page cannot display”

Ping command is responsible. what else can I do for it?

I’m not familiar with CentOS, but I think the firewall is enabled by default, so you need to allow port 80 and maybe port 443 - if that’s your default ports in Apache.

  • Dear Hansen,

Thanks a lot for your answer. after I saw your reply, I searched another post about the firewalld in Centos 7. Eventually, I added the http service in the default rule and then now I can see the initial page on my web browser.

    Thank you again.
