Hello,
I am having some serious trouble and am a bit of a noob here so please be gentle with me.
Everytime I try to log into my account I am being sent to a second page that prompts me for ‘2 Factor Authentication’ from the app. Or I have the option to enter a backup code, which I am not privy to.
What authentication app is being referenced? It’s nothing that I can use for Google/nor do I see an app from Digital Ocean from the App store. Or am I missing this?
Everything that I’ve been reading to get access to the account is coming from behind the gate (after logging in) which seems counter-intuitive.
Please help me, my website is down!
Thank you!!!

Hello friend!
Typically two-factor is enabled using something like the Google Authenticator mobile app.
If you’re locked out of an account that has 2fa (two-factor authentication) enabled, read the step-by-step instructions here: Help with DigitalOcean Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
All documentation on account access can be found here: Account Troubleshooting and FAQs
These are very sensitive matters as the enabling of two-factor authentication is, in a way, requesting that we absolutely not allow access unless certain conditions are met. We will work with you, but we need a few things to make sure that you are in fact you, and that’s where our team will help :)
Kind Regards, Jarland
