Mail domain at recipient

Posted on March 1, 2014

I’m using Postfix with Dovecot for mail server. And everything works but my mail domain at recipient is wrong. When I send mail to somebody my email address is name@vps.domain.com (for example) and I can’t find how to put it right so it can be name@domain.com just. Problem is when they repsond to name@vps.domain.com mail won’t get delivered since domain for mail doesn’t exist. They need to retype mail without subdomain after @ in order to be able send mail. Any help is appreciated.
