Question

Mail domain at recipient

Posted March 1, 2014 1.3k views
I'm using Postfix with Dovecot for mail server. And everything works but my mail domain at recipient is wrong. When I send mail to somebody my email address is name@vps.domain.com (for example) and I can't find how to put it right so it can be name@domain.com just. Problem is when they repsond to name@vps.domain.com mail won't get delivered since domain for mail doesn't exist. They need to retype mail without subdomain after @ in order to be able send mail. Any help is appreciated.

Try setting up an alias so that name@domain.com points to name@vps.domain.com
