heyas all -

I’ve been running Linux on my local machines for almost 10 years, and am just now venturing out from shared hosting to VPS. I used the DO tutorials for a long time before spinning up my first droplet.

Just a suggestion to help those who are new to the terminal prompt:

sudo apt-get install mc

Once you get familiar with it I think you’ll find it makes many tasks very easy. I’ll often sudo mc to move and edit files as root. Be careful doing that!

Thanks for the suggestion. By default we try to keep our images as close to the OEM versions as possible so we generally avoid installing extra packages.
