Mitigating the excess bandwidth charge due to a DDoS attempt

In Spaces, are there any measures in place to e.g. suspend the public access if a public file in my Space is targeted by a DDoS attack? Or could we perhaps put a cap on the excess bandwidth charge?

This is exactly what came up to my mind while setting things up. CORS is not enough as bots can easily ignore them. We should be able to allow access based on IP at least.

Hey @sandyaquamarineurchin,

What I would personally suggest is to set up billing alerts, so that way you would get an alert immediately after you exceed your billing threshold.

You can follow the steps on how to do this here:

If you would love you see another functionality in place, the best thing to do to get your voice heard regarding this would be to head over to our Product Ideas board and post a new idea, including as much information as possible for what you’d like to see implemented.

Hope that helps! - Bobby.
