Hi
I’m Currently looking for a Server for a new Product I’ll code. The Projects will also allow the User to create a Photoalbum and share it with others. Therefore the Storage on the SSD would be used in no time (original image and a few resized). Is there a possibility to have an App-Server with SSD and access to a bigger Storage on slower normal disks?
Please let me know if you offer such a solution.
Cheers Pascal

What I would do is utilize the SSD drives at DigitalOcean for the core operation of the product, store user-supplied images in an S3 bucket, and then use a CDN like CloudFront to serve those images to the user. I think that gives you performance and scalability that’s relatively cost-effective, and every element in this setup does what it does best.
