My account says it was locked due to abuse, but I did not do anything illegal. Why was my account locked? help me

  • To maintain security, your account may be locked after multiple failed attempts to sign in using your username. Once your account is locked, you’ll receive an email telling you how to unlock it. Yep. me too. Apparently Digital Ocean is just locking accounts for verification and walking away.

If I ever manage to get my code off my droplet and will NEVER use this morons again.

In the mean time I suggest you hit their Facebook page and give them a one star review and a comment.

Maybe that will wake them up.

Anytime an account is locked on DigitalOcean our team will open a new support ticket on your account and you should receive an email notification. Our team can assist you with resolving the issue that required this lock in your support ticket.

  • No, if you have not received any notification, I have created a self support notification, but your team is not helping me. They do not tell me why my account was locked. We were supposed to send you a reply, but it did not answer a long time.
    My account was locked and victimized when there was no illegal situation!
    I’m not allowed to save my backups! I will warn people not to use you again. Poor service.

    • Same with me. Digital ocean is a joke. I thought it was a serious company but it’s just another “fall within the cracks of the system and you’re screwed”.

  • There is no response in a support ticket.
