WHen setting up my Droplet, using the SSH program putty or through the client area, it crashes! It asks for username and password i put them in and when i enter in my new password it just straight up crashes.

The first time you log into your droplet (if you do not set it up with an ssh key) you will be prompted to change your password. The droplet will allow you to log in and then will prompt you to enter:
- Your current password (the one you just used to log in)
- Your new password
- Retype your new password
If you fail to enter your current password correctly at the first prompt your session is disconnected. It sounds like you are attempting to enter your new password (rather than your current one) at this first prompt.
