Question
My server was blocked by Google Search
I use a DO server as a personal VPN/proxy server. Recently I unable to use google search.
Google just said:
We’re sorry…
… but your computer or network may be sending automated queries. To protect our users, we can’t process your request right now.
I’m just the only one user and no automated or bot query.
Is there anyone encounter this problem? and how to solve it?
thanks :)

I’m experiencing the same problem.
Just to make sure I have this right, you ONLY get this message while connected through your VPN? Otherwise can you search Google?
Are there any other computers or devices connected to the VPN at the same time?
Does ss -r show any connections to google?
Maybe a tool like Wireshark running on your DO droplet could give you some insight about the traffic going out.
Any search requests to Google through the server, whether via VNC, wget/curl, or by using it as a VPN, get intercepted and replaced with the error message. It’s not just a 404 and Google’s other services are reachable.
here as well, did a full rundown, and nothing on my server or VPN is showing any connections to google. The captcha is no longer being shown, it’s a straight block. I’ve had and have used this I.P. as a VPN for close to half a year, and only now have encountered this.
Nothing on my clients (linux + android) are showing any connection to google as well.
