What is the reason for this report?

My Wordpress site is showing the IP address after the DNS was updated.

Posted on October 12, 2015

I updated the DNS and this is showing up:

Font from origin ‘http://45.55.210.167’ has been blocked from loading by Cross-Origin Resource Sharing policy: No ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ header is present on the requested resource. Origin ‘http://www.jarofcomics.com’ is therefore not allowed access.

See the console in the browser and you see this error. It’s weird.

Made sure that the WP_SITEURL and WP_HOME was updated in the wp-config.php file and its still showing the IP Address.

Not sure why, is it something that needs to be change in the htcaccess? or a config in the sites-available directory in apache?

simply put following line in your .htaccess file and change your application path http://url instead of www.url.

… RewriteEngine on

RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.(.)$ [NC] RewriteRule ^(.)$ http://%1/$1 [R=301,L]

Hey there,

This error is referring to an included font that was hardcoded to your IP addresses. If you remove the IP address and place the relative path of the font, or use the domain name, the error should disappear.

It looks like you’ve already resolved it, but I wanted to update this question with this information.

Happy coding,
