MySQL takes up 100% cpu, tried everything I could find via google

Posted on May 2, 2016

MySQL takes 100% cpu and I don’t know how to fix it.

I disabled replication: SHOW SLAVE STATUS shows 0 rows

SHOW FULL PROCESSLIST doesn’t show any queries taking long time.

I also tried to fix leap second, reboot server, nothing helped.

I don’t know how to further diagnose

When I run top command, it shows mysql process taking 355%-400% CPU (I resized to 4 cores droplet) 1010 mysql 20 0 2414596 184832 13632 S 355.6 2.3 33:13.13 mysqld

Any help is much appreciated!
