I was hosting my Meteor site in Modulus and I have now changed to Digital Ocean, however I am having trouble setting up the DNS. My registrar is NameSilo.
The issue is that I’m still getting redirected to the Modulus hosted site.
I have configured the A and CName records in my droplet and then put the same DNS records: ns1.digitalocean.com ns2.digitalocean.com ns3.digitalocean.com In my NameServers section of NameSilo.
In the NameSilo DNS settings, I have: HOSTNAME TYPE ADDRESS / VALUE DISTANCE TTL SERVICE A myipvalue NA 172817 3rd-party www A myipvalue NA 172817 3rd-party
(myipvalue is my actual ip number I just replaced it here for this string).
In my droplet domain settings I have: A @ myipvalue A www myipvalue CNAME * @ NS ns1.digitalocean.com NS ns2.digitalocean.com NS ns3.digitalocean.com

Solved. It was just the registrar taking sometime to assume the change. Very happy with the change as my site’s performance has increased in comparison to the previous service and for a much lower price.
And the Digital Ocean tutorials are absolutely fantastic! Very happy to have made the change!
