network setup to avoid packet loss

Posted on April 6, 2016

We are using below server since 18 months and over the period packets were dropped. But we checked our network team every thing is OK and they suggested to set the value to ZERO.

But I’m not sure how can we set dropped value to ZERO. Can you suggest me?

[root@abc ~]# ifconfig RX packets:10406584603 errors:0 dropped:6233264 overruns:0 frame:0

There’s no such thing as “set packet loss to zero”, but you can reset the counters by rebooting.

Thanks for your info.
