New Install Gitlab and Other domains

Posted on April 8, 2015

Hi, all,

I believe I done an error…

I follow instructions to install gitlab on my server

" Install a GitLab CE Omnibus package on Ubuntu 14.04 "

I put my URL on which I want to use gitlab ( nano /etc/gitlab/gitlab.rb and I wrote my external_url parameter)

Then I reboot, and when I go to the URL I put in it: Excellent, I reach my new gitlab installation :-) ! I change login and password… Again excellent: All seems to work well

But I’ve got a big trouble: All my other domains (On the same server) go at the login page of gitlab !

How can I recover access to other domains ?

Thanks, memnochxx,

Ok, I will read that and try to recover my other websites access and gitlab just in one URL…

Omnibus installs its own instance of nginx, you can continue to use your own instance by starting at the “Using a non-bundled web-server” section as detailed here: https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/omnibus-gitlab/blob/master/doc/settings/nginx.md

You will of course need to copy the server block from the omnibus installation into your own configuration.
