Total newbie question:
I’m used to using managed servers. I would like to know if I can get wordpress, discourse, cpanel and email running here on the same droplet. Is that possible or am I better off using other regular hosts that have these preinstalled or as one-click installs?

To answer your question; yes this is possible however I don’t recommend it. If you would like to use cpanel, you would need to pay cpanel self every month to get a license. DigitalOcean isn’t a partner of cpanel so they don’t offer any webpanels like cpanel, it is all unmanaged. The cpanel would cost you $20 each month on top of the payent of your droplet --> reference
Second thing is that you probably won’t be able to run all these services off one droplet. You would need a big droplet that would cost a good amount of money, because all these services will take resources. This ofcourse depends on the usage of these services. If you would like to run all these services, I recommend running them off different droplets. This also increases security.
