Nginx 502 Bad Gateway Ghost

January 16, 2015 1.4k views

After rebooting droplet with Ghost preinstalled, I can only start ghost up in production mode (node index) but I can't get out of my terminal unless I type command-C which shuts it down and brings back the 502 Bad Gateway error.

Ghost should be restarted automatically when you reboot the droplet. The "One-Click" app installs a Upstart file that should allow you to start and stop Ghost using like other system service, i.e. :

sudo service ghost status
sudo service ghost start
sudo service ghost stop

DigitalOcean's one-click "application" installation allows you to create a droplet with Ghost pre-installed, running and ready to go in just a few short minutes! The instructions below will take you from zero to blog.
