Posted on May 23, 2014

hi digital ocean community!

i use the ghost application droplet, with nginx serving. and since ghost launched version 0.4, static pages are enabled so in my site i have a page called ‘home’ and i’d like visitors to be redirected there one they type my domain name URL. i searched a lot but all i get is non-www to www-domain redirections…

You can add a rewrite rule to redirect / to /page: <br><pre>rewrite ^/$ /page permanent;</pre>

You can change the index of root directory to home <br>or tell nginx to try for home when visitor hit your domain <br> <br>location / { <br> try_files $uri $uri/ =404; <br> index home.html; <br>} <br> <br>Or <br> <br>location / { <br> try_files $uri $uri/home.html =404; <br>}

i’ll try it and let you know if it works, thanks
