Hello All,
I installed Discourse on a Droplet and the install went fine. The domain checked out successful, and the install concluded successfully. When I go to the domain it give a refused connection error. I verified the ports 80 and 443 are open via SSh. This is driving me nuts. I did get it working once but since I accidentally installed it on a 8GB droplet I wanted to re-install it on a smaller droplet. I thought it would be easy, and now this? Like I said my domain points to the ip of the droplet. How can I see where the connection is failing. I don’t know much about linux but I can use putty and run commands. Any idea?

Hi there @Mike88,
It sounds like Discourse might not be running. You could run the following command to check if anything is listening on those 2 ports:
- sudo netstat -plant
Feel free to share the output here.
On another note, I could suggest using the 1-Click Discourse solution from the Marketplace:
https://marketplace.digitalocean.com/apps/discourse
