As I followed this guide when I run this command ./inspircd start I always get this error:

newircd@debian:~/inspircd-3.10.0$ ./inspircd start
-bash: ./inspircd: No such file or directory

This is very annoying. I really need your help please!

Hello, @stacymarshall

You can also try to start the service using the init.d scripts.

  • /etc/init.d/inspircd start

Hope that this helps!

Alex

Hi @stacymarshall,

This means you’ve created the inspired script in another directory. Following the tutorial make sure to notice where exactly it was created.

I gave the video a quick glance and I can see there was a user-created - lolirc with its home folder. If you followed the video to the letter, your script should be at:

/home/lolirc/inspircd-2.0.25/

Please note your version might be different and as such your path to your folder might be different.
