Question

Not a developer, trying to upload HTML files to droplet to be accessed through a subdomain.

Looking to access HTML files (source iSpring Powerpoint) through a subdomain pointing to a DigitalOcean droplet. I’m not a developer, but set up the droplet and the SSH key. I’ve also mapped the subdomain. Now, I just want to add the HTML files and be able to access those through a URL. Thanks.

Hello,

What you could do is to use SFTP to upload your HTML files to the /var/www/html directory as described here:

https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/droplets/how-to/transfer-files/

An alternative option would be to use the DigitalOcean App Platform which offers free hosting for up to 3 static websites as show in the video here:

Hope that this helps!

Best,

Bobby
