Hi all, Which is the right place where to save a backup files on vps server? I made daily backups of another site i own with a cronjob via ftp. Where is the right location on a linux system where to save those backup? /var/backupDirectory? Or should be under userbackup home directory?

I could be wrong but afaik there is not a pre-defined location in the POSIX filesystem hierarchy defined for backups. As long as you store them in a non-public directory (outside the web root), other than /tmp (which is emptied on reboot) where your user has permissions you should be good.
