Why is it that digital ocean do not support any other currency than USD?

I don’t think you should be allowed to have a data centre in whatever country you are in if you don’t support its local currency.

If I pay in USD my credit card will charge me extra for paying in a foreign currency. It wouldn’t be an issue if I could use my prepaid Mastercard but you won’t allow this!

It’s true that banks have an annoying habit of making charges and a margin on foreign currency which can be disproportionate on smaller transactions. However Digital Ocean accept Paypal. If you have a PP account you can maintain a balance in USD as well as your local currency. Paying from a PP USD balance will not incur charges though you will have to accept Paypal’s exchange rate when transferring funds from your local currency.

hmmm, I would have thought if you transact across/multiple continents. You should be able to provide multiple currencies (or at least several main ones) to stay relevant? It doesn’t take long to code this into your billing system.

The 80 years old fishmonger at the end of our street where we live here in Australia accepting multiple currencies on his site. Digital ocean, common…it’s 2021…what say you?
