Permission Denied Error with virtualenv installing django

Following the tutorial: How To Install and Configure Django with Postgres, Nginx, and Gunicorn Step three: Activated the virtualenv then 'pip install django' yielded the error below. sudo chown -R youruser:youruser /opt/myenv
