php update can't see phpmyadmin chrome ubuntu 12.04 apache 2.2.22

i installed the Laravel php framework yesterday on my droplet.
The installation was successful but on the way i had to update php from 5.3 to 5.4.
Apart from that i installed curl and used composer.
After the installation i cannot access phpmyadmin from Chrome browser.
I get an error saying
Failed to load resource: net::ERRINCOMPLETECHUNKED_ENCODING about, /phpmyadmin/phpmyadmin.css.php and /phpmyadmin/phpmyadmin/js/messages.php.
I can access the phpmyadmin page from firefox. but there is no css.
Any suggestions?

I actually performed a restore to 2 days ago and everything is working perfectly.
But i still want to know if you guys have any suggestions because i plan on re installing it in the near future.

  • Upgrading PHP versions can often lead to issues with software that relies on the older version. I’d suggest using Ubuntu 14.04 when you reinstall. That will have a new enough version of PHP for Laravel which phpmyadmin will be compatible with as well.
